Croft Beag lies close to the delightful lochside village of Carbost on the west coast of Skye. An owner occupied croft of approximately 4 acres, Croft Beag is in a stunning location, on an elevated site with breathtaking views over Loch Bracadale to its small isles, the Outer Hebrides and the Macleod Tables. The decrofted house, which was completed in 2012, has been positioned to take advantage of the views and constructed to a high standard to minimise running costs with excellent levels of insulation, a wood burning stove with back boiler, and the infrastructure in place for solar panels. The comfortable and well-appointed accommodation is on one floor and the house is filled with coastal light throughout the day.
The agricultural building lies to the rear of the house and has been well-maintained and recently re-roofed. The building provides a range of uses whilst also offering the opportunity for conversion for business or residential use, subject to the necessary consents.
The letting caravan is in a secluded setting and offers comfortable and well-appointed 2 bedroom accommodation. The caravan has been a popular seasonal let since 2016 and the potential exists to expand the holiday business, both as it is or in conjunction with the other opportunities that exist within Croft Beag.
The owner occupied croftland has been fenced to create 3 paddocks. As well as providing livestock grazing the land is managed for wildlife by encouraging the natural regeneration of native woodland and grasses to provide a habitat for a wide range of flora and fauna. There are regular sightings of wildlife in the grounds and at the pond. There is access from the property to the shingle beach at the lochside and to coastal walks leading to the sandy beach at Fiskavaig and to Ardtreck Point Lighthouse.
