The farm is located near Westhill, on the periphery of Inverness. The farmland at Blackpark has been classified as 3(2) and 4(1) by the James Hutton Institute (formerly the Macaulay Institute) and the current owners predominantly utilise the ground for cereal production and rearing livestock. The farm is in excellent heart and infrastructure is in good condition throughout. Some of the arable fields have access directly onto the B9006. The fields are served by mains water or by burn and ditch.
