Caddon Cottage is located towards the end
of Millbank Road on the western fringes of
Clovenfords.

The village of Clovenfords has historic links including a meeting between Sir Walter Scott and William Wordsworth in 1803. Today the village boasts a population of approximately 600 and amenities include a newly built primary school, convenience store, village hall and a public house/hotel.

The nearby town of Galashiels, the commercial capital of the Borders, benefits from a broad range of shops and services including a secondary school, two major supermarkets and a wide variety of recreational and sporting facilities.

The village is well placed for commuting to Edinburgh by both road and rail via the A7 trunk road and Scottish Borders railway.

Caddon Cottage is a traditional, detached stone cottage dating from the early 1900’s. The house has been extended in more recent times to provide adaptable accommodation. The house retains much of it’s original charm whilst being sympathetically
modernised to suit modern living standards.

There are three public rooms on the ground floor along with a well equipped kitchen and a recently created shower room. On the first floor are three double bedrooms and a useful box room plus a particularly spacious bathroom.

At the front of the house and with a south westerly aspect is a mature and sheltered well-tended garden. The garden has been thoughtfully laid out and includes lawns surrounded by decorative borders, vegetable patches plus a nicely placed summer house. There is also a paved terrace outside the front door which provides a sheltered spot for al fresco dining.

At the rear of the house and accessed off Millbank Road is a tarmacadam driveway and detached single garage with an electric door. The garden and grounds are bordered by a dry stone wall.
