Stow is a popular Borders village which straddles the A7 about 8 miles north of Galashiels. The village is ideally placed for commuting to Edinburgh whilst enjoying the benefits of living in the Scottish Borders. The Borders Railway linking Tweedbank/Galashiels with Edinburgh passes through Stow and the village has a station.
Stow has an active community and includes the charming St Mary of Wedale church as well as a health centre, modern primary school, shop and café. A wider range of amenities, including a High School and some supermarkets, is available in Galashiels and the surrounding countryside is noted for its scenic beauty.
The Auld Mill is a charming, quirky village house in a converted mill and provides versatile family sized accommodation. The house is something of a “tardis” being much more spacious inside than its external appearance would suggest.
The house features exposed structural timbers and there is an inglenook fireplace with multi-fuel stove in the lounge. The property has oil fired central heating and double glazing.
There is a spacious enclosed back garden (with shed) and there is off road parking for two cars in front of the house.
