Plot, Branxholm Town
Branxholm Town has an attractive rural location approximately 4 miles to the southwest of Hawick. The plot lies close to a group of farm cottages and some farm buildings, and enjoys fine easterly outlooks.
The surrounding countryside is noted for its scenic beauty and Hawick, with a population of around 16,000, is an important Borders town with a good range of shops, primary and secondary schools and a variety of social and sporting facilities.
The area is ideal for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits and there are good road links with the other Borders centres as well as with the north of England.
Travelling south out of Hawick on the A7 towards Carlisle, pass the right hand turn signed Roberton and take the next turning on your right shortly after crossing the River Teviot. Branxholm Town lies on your left approximately 1.5 miles up this minor road.
An attractive residential building plot with planning permission in principle for a single dwelling. Further information on the planning permission can be found on Scottish Borders Council's website and the planning reference is 15/01190/PPP.
The plot is relatively level and extends to approximately 0.2 acres (770 sq.m).
Mains electricity is available nearby and we understand that it should be possible to tie into a private bore hole and septic tank that serve the nearby farm cottages.
