Wangie Den is a hugely impressive house which was designed and built to enjoy the wonderful surrounding views. Constructed of harled block under a pitched tile roof, Wangie Den provides spacious and flexible accommodation over two storeys. On the ground floor, a bright vestibule opens to the magnificent open plan kitchen/dining/family room. The kitchen area has various base and walls units with a number of integral appliances including a fridge and freezer, microwave oven, electric oven and a free standing dishwasher.
The family area is separated from the kitchen by a central island whilst the room also has a wood burning stove. Being open to the more recently constructed sun room, it is a very light and airy room whilst the sun room with a sliding triple glazed door to the patio and a fully glazed gable enjoys wonderful westerly views. A utility room (with washing machine and tumble dryer) is located off the kitchen and leads nicely into the boot room (also with a washing machine) which also has integral access into the garage. Also on the ground floor is the master bedroom which has dual aspect windows, built in wardrobes and en suite bathroom facilities. Two further bedrooms are located on the first floor and have built in storage and a dual aspect outlook across the garden. A shower room and a generous landing complete the living accommodation.
The integral double garage has been finished to a high standard, complete with vinyl flooring, lighting and electricity. There is also a floored loft above which offers considerable scope for development (subject to planning).
Wangie Den has a lovely bright and airy atmosphere with large double glazed windows flooding the interior with natural light. The house is connected to mains electricity as well as having an automated diesel generator back up. There are three solar thermal panels which help heat water whilst the house has oil central heating with under floor heating on the ground floor and radiators to heat the first floor. The sun room and first floor shower room have electric under floor heating. In addition there is an integral vacuum system. The house is connected to a private water supply from a bore hole located in the garden.
Outside, the grounds are no less impressive than the house. Extending to about 1 acre, the garden is sheltered to the north and east by a delightful mature woodland and includes areas of lawn, numerous maturing trees, fruit and vegetable beds, a poly tunnel, a useful log store and garden shed, a large patio and various well stocked beds and borders including a wonderful heather bank. Ample parking for several vehicles is provided on a gravelled driveway.
