Hardhaugh is steeped in history, built in 1808 it is believed to be the home of William Grant during the construction of the Glenfiddich Distillery. It is constructed of stone under a pitched slate roof and provides spacious and well-appointed accommodation over two storeys. The front door opens into a hallway with stairs to the first floor and an under stair cupboard which also gives access to a cellar which provides excellent storage space. To the right is a bright, generously sized sitting room which has a multi-fuel stove. At the opposite end of the sitting room is a dining kitchen which is fitted with a range of high quality wall and floor units and various integrated appliances. A further door opens to a rear hall with access to a W.C. as well as a light and airy sun room which has a door out to a patio and the garden. From the first floor landing, to the left is a generously sized bedroom with an opening to a further bedroom (currently used a dressing room) which also has a door back out to the landing. A further good sized bedroom and a family shower room with high quality, modern fittings complete the accommodation. A floored loft also provides additional storage space. The property has a private water supply however mains water connection is available nearby.
Outside, the house sits within grounds which extend to about an acre and are enclosed by a fence and stone wall. The garden is primarily laid to lawn while a patio and a charming timber summer house with a decking provide wonderful seating areas. There is also a cemented area, suitable for a hot tub. A gravelled driveway surrounds the house and provides ample parking space for a number of vehicles whilst there are also a range of garages and sheds including a double garage (about 8mx7m) which is fully insulated, has an electric door and power, a timber garage (about 5.9mx3m) with an electric door, power and water, and a large shed/workshop (about 5.5mx4.5m) which is fully insulated and is also connected to power and water.
