Craig Beg Plantation is an impressive mature commercial forest offering immediate timber income and extending to 92.7 hectares (229.06 acres). The plantation was established in 1978 by way of a lease and planted with Sitka spruce and lodgepole pine crops. The crops have shown some impressive growth and many have been well thinned resulting in an above average crop with a high sawlog content. The property is located very close to two major regional timber processors and has excellent public road access. Internally, the property has a large timber hard standing and is served by a forest track. There is a source of stone on site.
