Foodieash is situated a short distance to the north of the sought after town of Cupar, which offers an excellent range of local facilities and amenities with a good selection of shops, supermarkets, pubs, restaurants as well as a regular Farmers Market. 11 miles to the east lies the ancient and historic university town of St. Andrews, renowned world-wide as the “Home of Golf”. 12 miles to the north lies the resurgent city of Dundee, which is already home to Scott’s ship RSS Discovery and the V & A Museum. State schooling is available locally in Cupar with independent schooling being provided at the High School of Dundee and St. Leonards in St.Andrews, which both have dedicated bus services from Cupar. There are railway stations in Cupar, Leuchars and Ladybank with Edinburgh airport about one hour to the south. The regional airport at Dundee offers an increasingly good selection of short-haul flights.

The Green will be accessed by a tarmac road leading off the minor public road through Foodieash. All the houses will be situated off the same side of the lane and look out over the central green.
