Local services and amenities are available in both Cupar and Newburgh which between them offer a wide variety of shops, restaurants and supermarkets. In terms of city facilities there is easy access to Perth and Dundee whilst, a short drive to the east, the ancient and historic university town of St Andrews also offers an excellent selection of services and is a major tourist destination.

Whirlykips offers great scope for walking and cycling as well as a range of other country pursuits. The immediate surrounding area also provides a rich habitat for all manner of wildlife including red squirrels, deer and many birds. The public right of way leading to the top of Norman’s Law and the scenic Fife Coastal Path run close by whilst, more generally, Fife and the Cupar area offer ready access to some particularly attractive countryside, with a glorious mix of rolling hill, wood, river and coastline. DIRECTIONS
Heading west out of Cupar on the A91 turn right on to Balgarvie Road/A913. At the Parbroath crossroads turn left on to the A92 and immediately right on to the A914. Continue for 1½ miles to Ayton Smiddy, turning right up the farm road opposite signposted Denmuir. Follow this road past the farm house to the cottages beyond and turn sharp right behind them. Continue on this road and Whirly Kips is on the right hand side, just after a cattle grid.
