Marchburn Cottage is quietly situated a short distance to the south east of the Glen Clova Hotel in the popular Angus glen. Easily accessed from the central belt, Glen Clova is renowned for its beautiful heather-clad hills with the river South Esk running through the glen. To the north of Glen Clova is Glen Doll, which offers easy access to several munros and the Cairngorm plateau. The town of Kirriemuir is some 13 miles away, with a good range of shops, supermarkets and the like. The thriving city of Dundee is about 32 miles from the cottage. Both Perth and Edinburgh are within comfortable driving distance.
With a charming white painted exterior under a slate roof, Marchburn Cottage is perhaps the quintessential Scottish holiday cottage. The deceptively spacious accommodation is on one level and centred around the wonderful open plan sitting room/dining room/kitchen with wood-burning stove and glazed doors to the garden. There are two well-proportioned double bedrooms, one of which benefits from an en-suite bathroom. The shower room and porch complete the accommodation. Marchburn Cottage benefits from oil-fired central heating and double glazing.

The cottage stands in a lovely enclosed garden with gravel drive. The garden is essentially laid to lawn with an attractive mix of plants and shrubs. There is a seating area to the side of the house.
From Kirriemuir take the B955, making for Dykehead, and continue on up Glen Clova. Take
the right turning where the B955 splits and follow the road over the bridge over the River South Esk. Continue on the B955 and Marchburn Cottage is on the right-hand side about a mile before the Glen Clova Hotel.
