Gardens of Gray stands in delightful and extensive mature leafy grounds, in a lovely private semi-rural location on the western edge of the city of Dundee. Just a short drive from the city centre, Gardens of Gray is also only minutes away from a number of retail parks and out of town shopping centres which between them offer a good selection of supermarkets and national retailers providing for virtually every need. Broughty Ferry’s exclusive shopping district is within easy reach, with the cosmopolitan Perth Road and west end area also close at hand. From Gardens of Gray there is rapid access via the main M90 motorway network to Perth, Edinburgh and Aberdeen with Glasgow no more than a ninety minute journey to the west.
Gardens of Gray’s charming suburban setting offers ready access to the delightful surrounding villages and towns of Angus and North East Fife, including St. Andrews, Carnoustie, Cupar and Forfar as well as some particularly fine countryside. With a lovely mix of farmland, coastline, hill and river the result is a fine choice for the outdoor enthusiast with walking, cycling, riding, sailing and golf all readily available. In particular golfers are especially well provided for with an unrivalled selection of highly rated courses in the area including the Championship Course at Carnoustie and The Old Course at St. Andrews which both regularly host the British Open. Downfield, Alyth, Monifieth, Piperdam and Panmure are also close by. The pretty Angus glens including Glen Isla, Glen Prosen and Glen Clova are well within striking distance for day trips and for skiers Glenshee is about an hour to the north. There are excellent sandy beaches at St. Andrews, Lunan Bay and St. Cyrus.
State primary and secondary schooling is available locally with independent schooling being provided at the High School of Dundee and St. Leonards in St. Andrews. There are railway stations in Dundee and Perth with Edinburgh airport about forty five minutes to the south. The regional airport at Dundee offers a good selection of short-haul flights.

Gardens of Gray is a charming detached house offering attractive well proportioned family accommodation in a lovely semi-rural setting. Thought to have been constructed in the 1950’s on the site of a previous market garden, the house is of an attractive painted harled brick construction under a red tiled roof. The porch gives access to the spacious main ground floor hallway which in turn offers access to the principal reception rooms. The sitting room benefits from attractive living flame gas fire along with window seat and direct access to the terrace, with the dining room being of a good size with charming bay window. Adjacent to the good breakfasting kitchen is a cosy snug with multi-fuel stove and large picture window to the terrace and garden. There is a useful utility area off the rear hallway which offers direct internal access to the double garage. An attractive wooden staircase leads to the first floor landing where there are three well proportioned double bedrooms, single bedroom, bathroom and shower room. A Ramsay ladder gives access to a substantial floored attic which it is thought may have further development potential subject to all consents and permissions being obtained.

Double garage, with internal access from the house.

Gardens of Gray stands on the site of a former market garden and the delightful extensive gardens certainly seem to bear this out. With many mature trees and a lovely collection of plants and shrubs, there are extensive lawned areas as well as terraced area to the front of the house, with generous chipped parking area to the rear.
