The M74 motorway, connecting both north and south to the rest of the UK motorway network, is around half an hour’s drive away, with Glasgow, Edinburgh and Carlisle within easy reach. The airports at Prestwick, Glasgow and Edinburgh handle both domestic and international flights, and mainline railway stations are available in Glasgow, Dumfries, Lockerbie and Carlisle, all can be connected to from Sanquhar train station.
