SITUATION
Dally Bay Cottage and Seascape Cottage are on the North West coast of the Rhins of Galloway peninsula, an area known for its natural beauty and wide variety of wildlife. Dally Bay Cottage is situated in an elevated position above and behind Seascape Cottage, the views from both cottages are stunning, across Dally Bay and as far as Belfast and the Mountains of Mourne, in Northern Ireland.

The nearest village is Kirkcolm, a small rural village with a primary school, church, shop and post office and hotel. Nearby Loch Ryan Sailing Club offers sailing lessons for those who would like to make the most of the coastal location. Stranraer is the main town, where you will find a secondary school, primary schools, supermarkets, shops, offices, hotels, restaurants, and Stranraer train station. The two main ferry ports to Northern Ireland are in Cairnryan, just over 6 miles from Stranraer.

DESCRIPTION
Dally Bay Cottage benefits from a large picture window in the Sitting Room, the perfect place to sit and admire the stunning view. A wooden fence around the decking in front of the property enhances the connection to the sea, it is adorned with old fishing nets and buoys which have washed up on the beach at Dally Bay. The Cottage has oil fired central heating and a multi fuel stove in the Sitting Room for extra warmth on cooler evenings. Windows not facing the sea overlook surrounding farmland. Water is received through a private supply, a historic agreement is in place. Both Dally Bay Cottage and Seascape cottage both benefit from an environmentally friendly Bio Disk septic tank system, which is covered by a maintenance contract with, Kingspan Water and Energy. Due to the distance from a roadside water hydrant, both Cottages have access to a water tank underneath the car parking area, which holds 10,000 litres of water, this can be accessed instantly by fire fighters in the event of a fire.

Seascape Cottage was purpose built as a holiday cottage in 2013, and finished to a high standard. The Cottage is now a very successful holiday cottage, let through Wilderness Cottages, especially for those who like to be beside the sea. Windows form a large part of the Sitting Room front and side wall, framing views of the surrounding area, Dally Bay and beyond. An air source heat pump provides under floor heating and keeps the cottage at an ambient temperature throughout, the heating is thermostat controlled and the temperature can be raised or lowered at any time. A separate immersion heater heats the hot water for the kitchen and power shower in the Shower Room.
