DESCRIPTION
Cardryne Croft is a stunning new build property, which complies to current building regulations for disabled access, completed in 2016 and finished to a very high standard. The property provides generous living space for both family life and entertaining.

Solid oak flooring leads through from the hall to the triple aspect Kitchen where French Doors open on to the decking. In total, three sets of French doors open on to the decking, which stretches along the side of the property looking towards the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse, an ideal place to dine al fresco whilst taking in the view. The solid oak floor continues into the Sitting Room where a Clear View 500 multi fuel stove keeps the room cosy on cooler evenings. Oil fired central heating is powered by a Worcester boiler situated in the Utility Room, the temperature can be altered by remote control, the remote heating thermostat is currently in the Kitchen but could be located anywhere in the house. The Kitchen, en-suite Shower Room and Bathroom all have Karndean flooring.

Storage space in the croft is plentiful, the entrance hall and all three bedrooms have fitted cupboards, and there is a walk in store cupboard, with light and power, and a trap door, which opens to reveal wooden steps leading down to the cellar. Ceiling height is restricted ranging from 1.65m as you enter the cellar which reduces to 1.1m at the back.

The holding extends to 6.5 acres, the current owners run a small flock of Herdwick Sheep, a hardy breed of sheep bred for their meat, who look very at home at Cardryne Croft. Well-maintained fences and a burn provide the boundary around the smallholding. Some of the land is fenced off for chickens; there are two hen houses with nesting boxes and two smaller houses for geese and ducks. A purpose built wooden shed provides storage for animal feed.

SITUATION
Cardryne Croft is just a few miles from the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse. The croft is surrounded by open farmland and has far reaching views, from the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse extending to the Isle Man and Lake District on a clear day. The Mull of Galloway Lighthouse has open days for viewing the exhibition, you can also climb to the top of the Lighthouse, visit the nearby RSPB nature reserve or Gallie Craig restaurant and gift shop which nestle at the top of the cliffs. The nearby hamlet of Damnaglaur leads down to the village of Drummore, a Harbour village with a Primary School, Play-park, Church, Shop, Post Office, Bowling Green, Doctors’ surgery, Fire Station, Coast-guard Station, Hotel and Restaurants.

Logan Botanic Gardens, Scotland’s most exotic gardens and award winning bistro is approximately 8.5miles from Cardryne Croft. A variety of tropical plants flourish here in the warmer climate, a result of the Gulf Stream flowing through the region. Terally Equestrian Centre is on the outskirts of Drummore and within easy reach of the property.

Stranraer is the nearest town providing a wider range of shops, supermarkets, offices, a leisure centre and secondary school.
