Caulside is a charming country cottage surrounded by open farmland in rural Wigtownshire. With painted wood panelled walls in tasteful colours, internal wooden doors with suffolk latches and a Belfast sink in the kitchen you really feel at home in the country. The kitchen also has painted cupboards, a Velux window in the ceiling allowing light to stream in to your workspace, and a half glazed door opening out to the garden. The Kitchen benefits from a Stoves gas range cooker, fuelled by bottled gas, with five rings and three ovens, one of which is the full height of the cooker. The cottage has wood effect vinyl flooring throughout, double glazed windows (all still under warranty) and oil fired central heating powered by a Grant combi boiler. Two solid fuel stoves also keep the cottage cosy, with a wood burning stove in Bedroom 1 and a multi fuel stove in the Sitting Room. Caulside has a private water supply, with water being piped in to the cottage from a well at the front of the property between the cottage and the workshop/garage. The present layout requires walking through Bedroom 1 to reach the rest of the property, but this could be reconfigured by swapping the Sitting Room with Bedroom 1. The garden has something for everyone, with an abundance of flowers, a raised pond, an area of decking, a lawn, a small orchard with apple, pear and plum trees. There is also a small hen house and chicken run, and a lean to perspex greenhouse with shelves and hanging space for tools. The Ersock Burn runs through the garden, a bridge over this takes you to a large purpose built poly tunnel. Water is electrically pumped pumped from the burn to water plants and vegetables in the poly tunnel as well as the rest of the garden. The Garden Room is the perfect place to relax and admire the garden and wildlife.
