It is nestled in a fine rural location with stunning views over Barr Loch, around 21 miles south-west of Glasgow and 12 miles from Glasgow Airport. There is a rail station in Lochwinnoch with regular services to Glasgow Central. Lochwinnoch benefits from a number of amenities with local shops and a wide range of leisure pursuits available including sailing, rowing, golf and horse riding.

There are wonderful recreational facilities nearby at Castle Semple Loch and the wetlands, a Site of Special Scientific Interest renowned for bird watching. There is an excellent visitor centre and café. The Sustrans off road cycle route passes close to the property and along the loch-side running between Irvine to Glasgow. The beautiful coast of the Firth of Clyde with many amenities is about 12 miles distant.
