Ardgiffen lies in a rural location in North Ayrshire situated approximately 3 miles from Beith. There are day to day services available in Beith which also has a primary school. Dunlop (about 2.7 miles) and Glengarnock (about 4.5 miles) have regular train services to Glasgow and beyond. Secondary schooling is available in Kilbirnie whilst private schooling is at St Columbus (Kilmacolm), Ayr and Glasgow.
