4 Carlung House is an excellent family home which spans the entire top floor within the much admired Carlung House. The original Carlung House was destroyed by fire in 1902 and replaced with the magnificent Elizabethan Manorial house present today. The property was split into the current arrangement in the 1970’s and comprises five apartments in total, three of which (including No 4) use the front entrance. Constructed of Northumberland stone with sandstone dressings the property retains many original features including the lead lined windows.

Entered from the imposing communal hallway, a stairway gives access to the apartment on the first floor. Further stairs within the apartment open to a delightful and welcoming reception hall leading to a comfortable living area which is separated from the dining area by a glazed partition. The kitchen is fitted with a good range of floor and wall mounted units, integrated electric hob, extractor, double oven, fridge/freezer, dish washer and double sink. There is a utility room which is plumbed for a washing machine and dryer. The sitting room has a log burning stove set in a black marble surround and hearth with a white fire place. The master bedroom is fitted with an en suite shower room with wash hand basin and w.c. Bedroom 2 also benefits from an en suite shower room and has a complete wall of wardrobes with Bedroom 3 and 4 sharing the family bathroom.
