Craiksland Woodland is situated near the seaside town of Troon in South Ayrshire. The area has good communications to both the north and south with access to the A78 and A77.
The local town of Troon provides a wide range of services and facilities including primary and secondary schools, supermarket shopping, sports centre and library, along with thriving cafes, pubs and restaurants. Glasgow, is easily reached from Troon which has a mainline railway station to Glasgow with a half hourly train service.
Prestwick and Glasgow Airports are 4 miles and 30 miles respectively.

DESCRIPTION
Craiksland Woodland are delightful woods combining amenity with commercial value well situated near Troon. The woodland extends to about 32.26 Ha (79.71 Ac) and was planted from 1993 under the Farm Woodland Premium Scheme being a mixture of sitka spruce and mixed broadleaves. It is located on a minor public highway adjacent to the A78 which makes it easily accessible.
All grants and subsidies relating to the woodland have expired and for the avoidance of doubt no payments are due.

Lot 1 extends to 19.69 Ha with 9.44 Ha (23.33 Ac) of broadleaf, 6.50 Ha (16.06 Ac) of conifer and 3.75 Ha (9.27 Ac) of open space.

Lot 2 extends to 12.57 Ha with 6.02 (14.88 Ac) Ha of broadleaf, 3.41 (12.57 Ac) Ha of conifer and 3.14 Ha (7.76 Ac) of open space. Poles and stays cross this land and an annual wayleave payment is received with respect to this. Lot 2 can also be accessed from Corraith Road to the south.

Parts of the 17 acres of open space/potential grazing could be fenced and used for grazing horses and other livestock.

BOUNDARIES
