Bogend is a delightful small farm with countryside views quietly situated between Sorn and Galston in East Ayrshire. Galston (4.7 miles) has both primary and secondary schooling, a popular leisure centre, supermarket and a good range of local shops. Nearby Sorn (5 miles) also has a primary school, post office, café and well regarded local inn. Kilmarnock (6 miles) and the county town of Ayr (16 miles) both have a wider range of amenities including shops, supermarkets, restaurants, cinemas, sporting facilities. From the A77 Whitletts roundabout at Ayr, take the B743 to Mauchline. At the traffic lights in the centre of Mauchline turn left then immediately right onto the B743 Sorn Road. From Glasgow, take the M77 towards, Kilmarnock. At Junction 6 (signposted Galston, A77) slip left. Go through Galston and follow the signs for Sorn. Continue along this road passing the cottages at Sornhill. After passing Meikleyard, take the second minor public road on the left passing Barsparroch and Tongue Farm and continue to Bogend Farm on the left hand side.
