Enterkine Estate was owned by the Cunningham family from the mid seventeenth century and was the location of ‘The Fete Champetre’ referred to by Robert Burns in a song of the same name. The current house was built in 1939 replacing a late Georgian house on the same site, itself a replacement for an even earlier house.

From the A77 Whitletts roundabout at Ayr, take the B743 (signed Mossblown). On entering Mossblown, turn right onto the B742 and continue on this road for approximately a mile. Once you cross the bridge, the entrance to Enterkine House and Estate is the third exit situated on the bend. Go through the main gates and proceed along the private drive.
