The quiet country lanes around Knockmarloch Cottage provide opportunities for walking and cycling. There are excellent yachting facilities at the marinas at Ardrossan, Largs, Inverkip and Troon and there are many opportunities for game sports in the region with some of south west Scotland's best salmon and trout fishing available.

Built around 1742, Knockmarloch Cottage is a wonderful detached country cottage with superb large garden grounds and outbuildings which include a greenhouse, two wood stores and two garden sheds.

Once part of Knockmarloch Estate, the cottage was built from the stone of Knockmarloch Manor House and was then called Cottage no 2. The sandstone sign embedded in the entrance wall to the property comes from the historic Ballochmyle House in Mauchline, Ayrshire. Knockmarloch Cottage has been sympathetically restored and extensively upgraded to a high standard to create a superb 3 bedroom cottage with large entrance hall, living room, kitchen, sun room/dining room, two bedrooms and bathroom on the ground floor with master bedroom and en suite shower room on the first floor. From Glasgow take the M77 south bound. At Bogend Toll junction turn left on to the B730. Continue along this road for about 1 mile and turn left signed for Craigie. On reaching the next junction, turn left (signed Kilmarnock) and travel for about 1 mile. Knockmarloch Cottage is situated on the right hand side with the white walls/pillars and entrance gates.
