North Auchenmade Farm
Surrounded by open fields, North Auchenmade is an attractive traditional farmhouse occupying a delightful rural position in North Ayrshire, within easy commuting distance of Glasgow. It has lovely views over the surrounding countryside.
Situated about 4 miles north from Kilwinning which provides a good range of everyday shopping services and facilities including primary and secondary schools whilst more comprehensive services and leisure facilities are available in the larger towns of Ayr and Irvine. Glasgow, (about 40 minutes) is easily reached via the A737 and Kilwinning also has a railway station on the main line to Glasgow with a regular 15 minute train service.
The popular village of Dunlop (5.5 miles) has a post office, primary school and a well-regarded restaurant (Struthers) and a railway station with regular half-hourly express service to Glasgow. Stewarton, about 6 miles, has a wide range of shops, services and amenities including supermarket shopping, a sports centre, cafes, a library and primary and secondary schooling. Both Prestwick and Glasgow Airports are easily reached being about 16 miles equidistant respectively.
The surrounding countryside is ideal for outdoor pursuits. Ayrshire is renowned for the quality of its shooting and fishing. There are many golf courses including Royal Troon, Prestwick, Turnberry and the new Rowallan Castle Golf Course by Kilmaurs (about 8 miles). Ayr Racecourse is famous for the Ayr Gold Cup and Scottish Grand National. Sailing is popular on the Firth of Clyde with yacht marinas at Troon, Largs (14 miles) and Inverkip. Morris Equestrian Centre with fabulous equestrian facilities is nearby, and there is great hacking in some of the quiet country lanes around North Auchenmade Farm.
North Auchenmade Farm is located in a peaceful rural setting in North Ayrshire enjoying lovely views. It is a typical Ayrshire stone farmhouse with slate roof built on two stories. Painted white, with black window frames, it has good sized rooms throughout, all of which have high ceilings and are double glazed. The property is heated by oil fired central heating and there are also two open fires.

From Glasgow, take the A736 Barrhead Irvine Road. After travelling through Burnhouse and before reaching Auchentiber turn right onto the B707 (signposted Dalry). Continue straight on for about 1.5 miles and just beyond the crossing, North Auchenmade is then on the right hand side.
