Dunlop, only about one mile away is an attractive and picturesque village which provides excellent local facilities including a primary school, selection of small shops including a newly rebuilt railway station with an express service of 21 minutes to Glasgow. These are enhanced by the bustling small town of Stewarton 4 miles away where Secondary schooling is available at the well respected Stewarton Academy. Glasgow and Prestwick Airports are about 30 minutes drive away, offering a comprehensive timetable of flights. Excellent shopping is available at Kilmarnock (8 miles) and Irvine (about 13 miles) and Silverburn Shopping Centre is 13 miles distant can be reached in under half an hour by car. Lot 1:
Original Cottage No. 1 is believed to have been built around 1830 of sandstone and whinstone under a slate roof. Over two levels, the spacious and light cottage requires modernisation and refurbishment. It comprises on the ground floor a large living room with original beams, dual aspect windows, open fire and a door to the garden. The dining room has laminate flooring, original beams, a wood burning stove and dual aspect windows. The kitchen has wall and floor units and free standing appliances. A useful store room and bathroom. From Glasgow take the A736 Barrhead/Irvine road. At Lugton turn left signposted for Dunlop (A735). After about one mile turn left, carry on and at the T junction take the road on the right. Newhouse is situated on the right hand side of the road.

From Ayr, follow A77 north, take the B7038 exit. Continue through Stewarton following signs for Dunlop. At Dunlop follow Newmill Road and after about a mile, Newhouse is on the left hand side of the road.
