Glasgow city centre itself is easily accessible by a 30 minute drive or a short regular train journey from Kilmaurs station. Glasgow Prestwick Airport with regular scheduled international flights is only 13 miles distant and Glasgow Airport can be reached in approximately 30 minutes. The village has local shops including a butcher, chemist, hairdressers, bakery and coffee shop, pub and a primary school. Kilmarnock, is some 3 miles distant and offers a wider range of amenities including shopping, restaurants, sports facilities and supermarkets.
