Westside is situated 1 mile north of Newmachar and 9 miles east of Inverurie in the county of
Aberdeenshire. The land is predominantly arable being capable of growing a wide range of crops.
The area is well resourced in terms of agricultural infrastructure, being well served by a number of
grain merchants, agricultural suppliers and machinery dealers, in addition to the Machinery Ring. Aberdeen Grain is situated 3 miles to the northwest and auction marts can be found in Inverurie and Huntly with modern abattoirs being situated at Inverurie and Turriff.

The land extends to 52.27 ha (129.16 ac) and has been farmed in an arable rotation in recent
years. The land has benefitted from the inclusion of organic matter with the winter oil seed rape
and wheat straw being chopped and incorporated into the soil in addition to which the land has
received regular applications of Cambi Cake. Being in good heart, the land is rotationally mapped and tested for PH and P & K.

BASIC PAYMENT SCHEME (BPS)

payments relating to the 2022 year will be retained by the seller. The buyer will be responsible upon occupation of the subjects of sale to fully comply with the statutory management requirements to maintain the farmland in Good Agricultural and Environmental Condition as laid down under the cross Compliance Rules of the Basic Payment Scheme 2022 for the rest of the scheme year.
