Spyon Cop is located in the picturesque Glen of Glenbuchat of Strathdon Aberdeenshire overlooking Glenbuchat Castle. It is a Glen of fascinating history, natural beauty and wildlife. Short drive to Bellabeg, a quaint village with a shop, post office and local primary school. Bellabeg is also home to the annual Lonach Gathering & Highland Games, founded in 1841 which attracts thousands of visitors to the area each year. The nearest town to Strathdon is Alford to the East. Alford is a popular and growing town with a wealth of amenities including a health centre, shops, bank, post office, filling station, hotels along with a dry ski slope and transport museum. Spyon Cop is also located within 17 miles of Aboyne in Royal Deeside.
Aberdeen is some 37 miles, and provides all the leisure, recreational and entertainment facilities expected from the oil capital of Europe. It also provides good transport links with a mainline railway station and is host to an airport providing both domestic and international flights.
Spyon Cop was originally a derelict cottage which was demolished. Full planning permission has been granted for an erection of a dwelling house. At present there is a caravan on site which is not connected to water and electricity. The site is approx. 2.65 acres, mainly rough grass with juniper bushes and surrounded by private land. This is a fantastic project located in the most wonderful location with breath taking views.

From Alford continue on the A944 signed for Bridge of Alford. Continue for approx. 7 miles. Turn left for A97 signed for Kildrummy and continue for approx. 7 miles. Turn right for Glenbuchat Castle and viewers will meet the owners in the castle car park.
