The Glebe was originally the steading for the Glebe lands relating to the first Glenmuick Church Manse, Invermuick. Originally converted to the design of the renowned local architect, Alison Ewen, in the 1960s and 1970s the home has since undergone further refurbishment with the results creating a fantastic detached family home undoubtedly in walk into condition. The Glebe sits within a very generous 1 acre site which includes walled gardens, beautifully tended and maintained, and the River Muick lies to the west boundary with extensive private riverside banks where trout fishing can be enjoyed. Located within the heart of Royal Deeside and surrounded by stunning views with Knock Castle to the North, this is a unique opportunity to acquire a large family home, or equally a second home, in a very special location.
The main entrance hall overlooks the front and the rear courtyard and has ceramic tile flooring and a wood burning corner stove, this area leads firstly through to the study room. This room is a versatile space, which would also lend itself as a family room or dining room, and has quality cherry veneer flooring. Thereafter you enter the impressive dining kitchen with large windows overlooking the garden and fitted with beautiful oak units and corian work tops. A real country kitchen with space for a dining table and chairs and a traditional style stove, whilst a door leads you directly outside to the courtyard. Off the kitchen you will find the larder area with built in dresser and walk in larder cupboard and a separate useful utility room and cloak room. The main living room is a stunning room with triple aspect to the River Muick, central courtyard and French doors open onto the main garden. This room enjoys solid oak flooring and has a wood burning stove.
Upstairs there is a large gallery landing with big windows and lots of useful space. Here you will find access to two very spacious double bedrooms with extensive built in storage. Bedroom 1 has 2 built in wardrobes and enjoys the luxury of an en-suite bathroom fitted with a white suite including a whirlpool bath and separate shower cubicle. Bedroom 2 is equally spacious with two single wardrobes and it too has access to its own private en-suite bathroom with double size bath and electric shower.
Returning to the main entrance hall, and turning to the right, you will find a further sitting room which enjoys an open view towards Knock Castle and has beautiful oak flooring and a wood burning stove. Continue through to a further hallway which has an alternative external door and continues the solid oak wood flooring. At the end of the hall you will find a handy cloak room. The additional family dining kitchen is fitted with popular shaker style units and solid oak worktops with plenty space for dining and leads through to a large utility cupboard. Leading upstairs from a separate stair case you again come to a bright open landing with open views towards Knock Castle. The family bathroom has luxury Amtico flooring and fitted with a three piece suite including corner bath and mixer shower. Bedroom 3 is a superb room with window to both the courtyard and Knock Castle and storage is provided by a large walk in wardrobe. This bedroom also benefits from a private en-suite bathroom with Amtico flooring, three piece suite with corner bath and overhead electric shower. Finally, bedroom 4 is a large double bedroom and has the feature of a walk in dressing room fitted with built in wardrobes.
