The Net Zero Sessions are the place to find out. Delivered by RenewableUK and with expert speakers from across the economy talking about our vision for Net Zero and the roles you might play, the Net Zero Sessions take place online on 24 June and 15 July, and available afterwards on demand.
I'll be there on 24 June representing all things Net Zero in the great outdoors, in the ‘People and Places’ session. What is regenerative farming and forestry, and how could they even make food production and construction carbon negative? How can technology such as drones, robotics, apps and genetics help? What skills are needed to ensure Net Zero also means protecting biodiversity, producing what we need, and creating flourishing communities? And how did an urban history student come to be championing the countryside as the most exciting place to be for creating the Net Zero society of the future?
We’ll also be at the virtual careers exhibition on 15 July, when you can drop in to ask us questions about opportunities for a net zero rural career, the skills and qualifications you need, and what life in the countryside is really like.
The sessions are aimed at students but will be relevant for anyone from secondary school students to mature career changers considering a career in tackling climate change.
