Galbraith, the leading independent property consultancy in Scotland, has agreed a further three-year sponsorship of Edinburgh Rugby, extending the close partnership developed over the past two and a half years. Galbraith is also the official property adviser for Edinburgh and has benefited from the significant business opportunities afforded by the relationship.
Jane Ritchie, head of marketing for Galbraith, said:
The synergy between Galbraith and Edinburgh Rugby goes far beyond the fact that we are both closely associated with the city and have roots stretching back over a century. We greatly admire the dynamism of the team and its forward-looking attitude under Head Coach Richard Cockerill.
Rugby is a natural fit for Galbraith bringing all areas of our business together, as so many of our friends, associates, clients and potential clients across the country and beyond have grown up playing or supporting rugby in some form. The distinctive Galbraith logo will again feature on the kit collar and of course Edinburgh’s new brand identity has also brought the team colours of orange and navy more closely in to line with our own!
Last season Edinburgh had much to celebrate. The team qualified for the Guinness PRO14 Final Series for the first time in its history and reached the quarter-final of the European Challenge Cup. In addition, Edinburgh achieved 15 wins in league matches, matched by only one other team, and qualified for the 2018/19 Heineken Champions Cup - the pinnacle of European professional club rugby.
Following on from their successes together over the last couple of seasons, Galbraith is further developing its relationship with Edinburgh Rugby by working with them on their Rugby for Life programme, which helps players to transition in to business with work placement opportunities.
Galbraith is known for developing its people, offering them significant opportunities to progress in a number of fields across commercial, rural, residential agency, farms and estates, energy, building surveying and forestry. Galbraith staff numbers now exceed 270, based in eleven offices across the country.
In the commercial property sector, Galbraith offers property management, sales, lettings and acquisitions, building surveying, commercial valuations and facilities management. For residential property, Galbraith offers a full range of services including sales and lettings, buying advice, farm sales, plots of land searches and mortgage advice. The firm’s rural management team offers advice on agricultural loans, land management, advice on renewable energy and telecoms projects, aquaculture and tenant negotiations. Galbraith also has a large forestry division and in 2017 sold more Scottish estates than any other firm.
