CKD Galbraith has appointed Julia to head up the Galashiels lettings office, demonstrating the firm's commitment to the Borders property market. Julia is an experienced professional in the lettings field having previously worked for Hamptons International as Assistant Lettings Manager.
Julia, who originates from South Africa, said: "I am delighted to join the well established lettings team at CKD Galbraith and look forward to growing its provision in the Borders. With the wonderful and varied property on offer throughout the area, the South of Scotland rental property market presents a very exciting sector to work in.
"Due to my Scottish ancestry, I have always wanted to live and work in Scotland and learn more about my family's history. I chose to live in the Borders as I have family and friends living locally and, as a horse enthusiast and out-doors person, it's the ideal place for me to live. I've settled in quickly and gained great experience of the local market, areas and community already."
The lettings market in the Scottish Borders is still thriving with many would-be property owners still choosing to rent during the uncertain economic climate, with CKD Galbraith's Galashiels office noticing a marked increase in its new tenancies this year.
Shirley Kenyon, CKD Galbraith's lettings manager, said: "We are delighted to have Julia on board bringing skills and experience to compliment our existing team. All of our lettings offices have experienced a surge in market activity in the last few years a reflection of the persisting difficulties preventing would be buyers from getting on the property ladder and we have appointed Julia to mange lettings in the Borders and ensure we continue to meet demand."
Currently there over 200 properties being let out through CKD Galbraith's Galashiels office with a large number of tenants registered and actively seeking appropriate properties to rent.
