Drawing on extensive experience providing land agency and planning services to corporate and private energy clients across Scotland and the North of England, Michael will provide consultancy and professional services to multinational and private clients active in the utility and renewables sectors.
Michael is experienced in both negotiating the purchase of land for substations and AC/DC converter stations and also in facilitating access to land to enable grid connections a valuable combination for CKD Galbraith clients looking to develop renewable projects.
Michael said: "In building on CKD Galbraith's expertise in renewable projects and site brokerage, I shall work with landowners and developers to identify and move forward wind, hydro, marine, solar and biomass projects, from farm to commercial scale, employing my experience of negotiating option and lease deals on several major energy projects."
At RES Michael was involved in the acquisition of wind farm sites (10MW to 100MW-plus), third-party land rights, project management, planning, due diligence and valuation combined with economic assessments.
