Estate Agent (Kelso)

Our Kelso office is recruiting for a professional Estate Agent to join its team on a full time basis.

Your New Role

The purpose of the post is to offer a first class service to buyers, sellers and existing property owners across the Scottish Borders and Lothians.

The primary responsibilities will include:

  • Liaise with clients & purchasers in a professional, polite and respectful manner at all times.
  • Carry out sales pitches, providing professional and accurate advice, producing marketing reports and sourcing business.
  • Seek to build the sales business by using and developing contacts and creating new opportunities.
  • Oversee the marketing of properties including coordinating the booking of photography, home reports, brochure production, signage and PR.
  • Carry out viewings with prospective purchasers and manage clients across all price ranges.
  • Manage sales to completion through influencing, persuading and negotiating whilst giving best advice to clients at all times in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
  • Seek to further establish and build on the success of the existing team.
  • Handle daily applicant enquiries from Galbraith’s database, ensuring that accurate details are registered, actioned and maintained on a daily basis.
  • Keep up to date with trends in the local residential and rural property market.
  • Manage own diary efficiently with respect to team members diaries.

To Be Successful

  • You will have a strategic awareness of the wider Galbraith business to understand the benefits of a multi-disciplined organisation and to cross sell services.
  • Expert knowledge of the property market and values across The Scottish Borders and Lothians.
  • You will be enthusiastic, confident, with excellent attention to detail and client care.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence. Use of own car will be required.
  • Knowledge of REAPIT an advantage.
  • MRICS or MNAEA qualification is an advantage but not essential.
